Experience an evening adventure kayaking out over one of New Zealand’s most stunning water ways, Lake Rotoiti. Take in the beautiful scenery, abundant birdlife, and learn about the Maori myths and legends linked to the area as you paddle towards the magical glowworm caves.

Paddle across the lake to the stunning Manupirua Hot Pools, which are only accessible by water. Here you will enjoy a freshly cooked BBQ dinner along with a delicious kiwi dessert. On the way to our hidden Glowworm cave you will see how Lake Rotoiti is magically transformed by the moon and the twinkling stars above. This will, without a doubt, be the perfect end to your adventure!

  • Departure time is between 3pm and 7pm. Departure times vary depending on the season

  • The duration of this experience is 2.5 hour paddling time with a total tour duration of 5 hours
Departure Location
  • Our guides will meet you at 41 Otaramarae Road, Okere Falls (20 minutes north of Rotorua). Unless hotel accommodation pick up is added.

  • Two person minimum for all kayak tours to operate
